Having won 7 World Drag Racing Championships in 3 years is a testament to their commitment and passion for motorsports.  In 2008, CSI increased their audience range by including three cars in two fields of motorsports catering to the youth demographic of 18-34 years of age.  Jason Hunt returned to defend his 3X NDRA World Championship in the NOPI Drag Racing Association (NDRA) behind the wheel of the MATCO TOOLS Pro Front Wheel Drive Chevy Cobalt.  Brian Ballard who in 2007 won both the NDRA and NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) drove the MOBIL 1 Turbo Street Chevy Cobalt to another NDRA points lead and the title of “The Worlds Fastest FWD Street Car”.  Ali Aljibouri, new to the team this year was the driver of choice for the Cooper Tires / Matco Tools Pontiac Solstice Drift Car. He worked his way up to an impressive 5th in NOPI Drift points and earned his Formula D license during the Formula D Pro Am event in Virginia.

 

This team has not won championships and set records by chance, they believe in hard work and determination.  Charlie Schafer serves as both team owner and crew chief on his many teams and has assembled a staff of experienced and well trained professionals to deliver the image and work experience to continue their winning ways.

CSI has many tools to reach the desired demographic of Generation “Y” aged 18-34.  This demographic has a more disposable income, are more educated than their predecessors, more internet and electronics savvy and have higher expectations from products and services than the audience before them.  CSI completely understands the necessity of educating this group while they are young so they become customers for life in the long run.  From the drag racing, drifting, and lifestyle events to their college campus tour, television and magazine coverage, CSI’s reach is into the millions.
